I feel like I didn’t have a day off since high school, so of course the day started early with the discussion of different projects. We updated each other how we are doing and what is the next step for everyone. Later on we got our hands dirty. I mean literally.
Search for the right materials began.
We started to build the prototype of our project, but unfortunately I can’t tell you more details, since the exhibition will take place in November 2014. Here is just a sneak peak of how we are building prototypes for our installation.
Of course we test everything for safety!
And our hands became dirty once we started to dig dipper in materials and also researched the garbage.
Working space and materials.
Printed data ready to be folded.
I was installing the lights and also playing with it, of course.
Short break and random (working) selfie! Haven’t done is for a long time, so I think it was “necessary”.
We continued our work with the help of the laser cutter.
Preparing the design in AutoCAD.
Laser cutter in action.
Testing different materials and prototypes.
We did a short break, washed our hands and went to explore the machinery and processing behind the “interactive room” for more inspiration.
“Interactive room” in action or “Star Wars in real life”.
We’re now back at the studio and continuing our work. Today is dedicated to materials and tomorrow we will spent our time with sensors and processing. My brain is having a party.
